The Vampire Diaries went on a long hiatus back in November but not before unleashing one of the most intense episodes from the series yet. There was a crazy showdown with vampire hunter, Michael and the seemingly unstoppable hybrid Klaus. Stefan was finally granted his freedom from Klaus' compulsion and now he's in a position to pull the strings. He's stolen the coffins holding the bodies of Klaus' family which as you can imagine, has Klaus enraged.In the upcoming tenth episode of the show's third season which airs this Thursday (January 5th), Klaus uses violence to convey that no one will be safe in Mystic Falls until he gets his family back. The CW recently released a new photo from the episode entitled The New Deal and it features Klaus and Damon coming face to face with one another.
