According to a recent report from Zap2it, a new actress has been cast on the CW's hit series The Vampire Diaries. Alice Evans has been brought on the series to portray Klaus' mother, Esther. Evans will appear in multiple episodes and in addition to Klaus, she is also the mother of Elijah and Rebekah. Esther will show up in episode 8. Of course, she isn't the only original coming to the scene. As we reported close to a month ago, several originals will make appearances through the third season.At the moment, Stefan is still under Klaus' control though he's working on a plan to destroying the hybrid once and for all. He believes Klaus is on the run from a famous vampire hunter. At the same time, Damon is convinced that Jeremy can use his connection with the supernatural world to find Klaus' weakness.
The third season has been a thrill-ride since it premiered last month. Here's to hoping the writers can keep things interesting. With the arrival of some never-before-seen originals, I'd say they're on track to yet another successful season. Stay tuned!
