DexterThere is currently a lot of talk going on over at Showtime regarding the possible cancellation of one of their most popular original series in history, Dexter. Michael C. Hall, the show's main star, is negotiating a new contract with the network since his current contract is up after this season which premiered Sunday night with a record 2.2 million viewers tuning in. That's a 24% increase over the Season 5 premiere.

According to reports, Showtime is offering Hall $20 million for two more seasons of Dexter, however, the actor is asking for $24 million for two seasons. Negotiations are still in the works but it doesn't appear that Showtime or Michael C. hall are going to give in very easily.

If you ask me, Michael C. Hall deserves a lot more than $24 million after everything he's been through. He already did six successful seasons under the same contract. Not to mention, there aren't too many actor out there who could portray a likeable serial killer and Hall not only does just that, but he makes it look easy. In addition, Showtime makes far more than $24 million from network subscribers to DVD sales. So yeah, I don't think he's asking for that much. What do you guys think?
