I think I'm one of the only guys in the universe that watches The Vampire Diaries religously. A lot of guys pass it off as a chick show, but it really isn't. In fact, I've seen more action watching it than I have watching shows like Burn Notice and The Event. Kevin Williamson is a creative guy. He knows how to twist things up and keep the audience interested over the span of an entire season which is why I have no doubt that he'll have me taking off work early Thursday nights come this fall as The Vampire Diaries will air along with his new show Secret Circle.Secret Circle is based on L.J. Smith's book series of the same name. L.J. Smith also wrote The Vampire Diaries books. While they're two different series, both have been brought to the small screen by Kevin Williamson (Scream, Scream 2, Scream 4). Needless to say, The CW is undoubtedly going to have another hit on their hands.
The network recently released a six minute clip which gives viewers an idea as to what they can expect from the show. If you like The Vampire Diaries, you're likely going to be hooked on Secret Circle too. The two are vastly similar in style. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see a cross-over sometime down the road. In any case, you can read on to check out the clip and be sure to share your thoughts!
