It had a long run but all good things must come to an end. The upcoming ninth season of One Tree Hill will be the last, according to CW president Dawn Ostroff at the network's upfront presentation to advertisers on Thursday. I can't say I'm all that surprised. The network waited until the very last minute to announce the show's renewal and it only got a midseason release at that with 13 episodes, just enough time for the writers to wrap things up. I'm betting they'll get Chad Michael Murray and Hilary Burton to make appearances. So what can fans expect in the final season? "In season nine," the CW stated in a press release, "how will Brooke and Julian juggle parenthood and their very young careers? With Nathan traveling more as an agent, how will Haley's life change with a second child, an increasingly independent Jamie, and a busy cafe to run? Is a wedding in store for Quinn and Clay? Or Mouth and Millicent? And what's to become of Alex and Chase and their burgeoning romance? Stay tuned for more One Tree Hill updates!
