Remember when the cast of MTV's hit reality series Jersey Shore made headlines when it was confirmed that they'd be making $10,000 an episode? Well that's old news. According to recent reports, the show's core cast will be making a whopping $100,000 an episode come the next season. That's as much if not more than what a lot of A-list stars make on television. Not to mention, they have various forms of bonuses pouring in from product endorsments to special appearances. One report claimed The Situation had an annual income of around $5 million. Not bad for a reality star, huh?
I'm telling you, starring on Jersey Shore has to be a dream job for the cast. They're getting paid to drink, party and stir up drama. Can their jobs get any better? Actually, they can. MTV confirmed several months back that the gang would be headed to Italy to shoot the next season. Seriously? I'm jealous.
Still, I've never been a fan of Jersey Shore and the mere fact that the next season will take place in Italy isn't enough to spark my interest. Nevertheless, with $100,000 going out to Snooki and gang each episode, somebody has to like the show. Otherwise, how would MTV have that kind of money to blow?
