'Survivor' recap: Parvarti the best player of all time? Remember when everyone thought Russell Hantz of the Villain tribe was running the show, well after watching tonight's episode of "Survivor: Heroes vs Villains", that just doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Not only did his trusted ally, Parvarti Shallow, blindside the Heroes tribe, but she also royally pissed Russell off along the way and finally proved that she's the one who may have been pulling the strings all along.
So the two tribes finally merged and Parvarti was sure the Heroes were planning to cast their votes against her tonight. Rubert, however, didn't trust Russell like his ally J.T. did, but he was still able to convince them to cast their votes against Sandra and make Russell vote for Parvarti to prove his loyalty. Meanwhile, Amanda pretended to be buddy, buddy with Parvarti in order to get her to confess she had a hidden immunity idol. Of course, Parvarti new Amanda was playing her all along thus she told her she would take her with her as far as they could go.
Sandra confided in Rubert that Russell wasn't the outside man on the former Villain tribe and the he was infact the one pulling the strings and that he had a hidden immunity idol. Since Sandra had screwed Rubert in a previous season of "Survivor" he wasn't sure if he could trust her this time.
Russell informed Parvarti that the former Hero tribe would be voting for her and decided to save her again by giving her his hidden immunity idol, not knowing Parvarti had one of her own. Parvarti grinned as she took it knowing that she had an idol for tonight's tribal and one for later.
During the Immunity challenge, the contestants were forced to hang on to a pole for as long as they could. The last two remained were Parvarti and Danielle. Danielle told her that she should when since Parvarti had a hidden idol and Parvarti agreed, letting loose of her pole and granting Danielle the victory.
So, the Villains entered tribal, with only a few knowing that they had three idols to work with. All of the Heroes changed their plan at the last moment and voted for Jerri while the Villains all voted for J.T.
This is the point in which Parvarti proved that she's the one running the show making one of the most brilliant moves any contestant has ever made on "Survivor". Jeff asked if anyone would like to play a hidden immunity idol and Parvarti said she would like to allow the Villains to hang around longer worrying about ripe banannas (something that tied in to what Rubert said earlier on) thus she handed Sandra an idol. The Heroes are almost sure they'll walk out of tribal victorious with Jerri going home, but there's just one problem. Parvarti then says, and just to increase our odds of sticking around, she pullls out her other idol and hands it to Jerri. The Heroes are absolutely blind-sided and at that point, it's obvious Parvarti is the one pulling the strings and J.T. is headed home. As Jeff reads the votes toward Jerri, none of them count and the Villain tribe is left grinning, everyone but Russell that is. He's obviously pissed and tells Parvarti that she has some explaining to do.
Great move Parvarti! I didn't see it coming myself. I've never been a fan of yours, but you have managed to make a fan out of me. Brillaint! Absolutely brilliant!
