'American Idol': Crystal Bowersox says 'People Get Ready'. This week was "Idol Gives Back" where contestants sang inspirational songs and were mentored by R&B superstar Alicia Keys. Of course, Crystal Bowersox has been the frontrunner for this season of Fox's hit reality show "American Idol", and she certainly didn't disappoint viewers with her performance last night while many of the other contestants did.

Crystal chose "People Get Ready" by The Impressions which left many viewers, including myself, with watery eyes. She confessed on the stage that she became choked up because it was the first time her dad had come to see her perform on "American Idol". While it was hard to tell if she left the same 'impression' on her father as she did us with sunglasses shielding his eyes, we're betting he was doing everything in his power to keep tears from rolling down his face.

Lee Dewyze is my favorite this season and while I think he'll easily make the top three, I'm not sure he can beat out Crystal who has been an absolute powerhouse all season long.
