Seth MacFarlane "Comedy Show" Suffers

tvI remember when "Family Guy" was dropped by Comedy Central and picked up by Fox. The show wasn't getting enough attention from viewers thus the network pulled the plug on Seth MacFarlane's animated creation. Fox made a ballsy move in snatching the series up, but it has certainly paid off over the years...at least for some viewers. To be honest, I've found the series to be less and less interesting over time. As MacFarlane runs out of ideas, his crude humor has gotten way out of hand. More unappetizing is how often his political views tend to interfere with the central story-line throughout each episode. While "Family Guy Presents Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show" is mellow in comparison to what MacFarlane usually pulls out of his ass, it's severly lackluster and the attempted gags couldn't be more lame. Read on for the rest of the article.

Microsoft made a wise decision in pulling their ads from the show at the last minute. While the content isn't all that inappropriate when looking back on some "Family Guy" episodes, the entire sketch is merely pointless. The show runs for a measly thirty minutes but it was one of the longest half hours of my life. The only reason a stuck around to the end was because I knew our readers would be interested in hearing some feedback.

Perhaps the most intriguing moments during the segment, which is just plain sad, are those in which Stewie introduces commercials for "Sherlock Holmes" and "Ninja Assasin".

Finally, as much as it kills me to say it, MacFarlane doesn't have all that bad of a singing voice as he proves during the presentation. Hell, I may not like the guy, but it'd be a sheer shame on my behalf to deny the (wanna-be) comedian just may be a natural vocalist.

Did you guys catch the presentation? What did you think?
