| It's been rumored for quite some time that AMC planned to bring Martin Scorsese's Academy Award nominated mob flick Goodfellas to the small screen but the speculation is over. The television network is moving forward with the adaptation although no production schedule was given.
Nicholas Pileggi, who adapted his book Wiseguy into the screenplay for Goodfellas, is reportedly co-writing the pilot script with Jorge Zamacona. Irwin Winkler produced the motion picture and is on board the television show as executive producer alongside his son David Winkler. Warner Horizon Television will produce the series.
I'm anxious to see who will land roles in the new series. The 1990 motion picture starred Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. Stay tuned! |

The Vampire Diaries went on a long hiatus back in November but not before unleashing one of the most intense episodes from the series yet. There was a crazy showdown with vampire hunter, Michael and the seemingly unstoppable hybrid Klaus. Stefan was finally granted his freedom from Klaus' compulsion and now he's in a position to pull the strings. He's stolen the coffins holding the bodies of Klaus' family which as you can imagine, has Klaus enraged.
In the upcoming tenth episode of the show's third season which airs this Thursday (January 5th), Klaus uses violence to convey that no one will be safe in Mystic Falls until he gets his family back. The CW recently released a new photo from the episode entitled The New Deal and it features Klaus and Damon coming face to face with one another. You can read on for the photo and be sure to share yoru toughts! Is there going to be a violent showdown between the two or will they merely exchange some words? Find out Thursday!

| New Vampire Diaries Photo Shows Damon Being Tortured

We got our hands on a brand new image from The CW's hit series The Vampire Diaries. The photo comes from this season's seventh episode which airs next Thursday and it shows Damon being tortured by Mason. That's right! I did say Mason. Mason Lockwood, the werewolf we love to hate, has apparently returned from the dead and on top of his to-do list is making Damon suffer just like Damon made him suffer before killing him last season. You can read on to check out the photo and be sure to share your thoughts.
I'm really enjoying this season of The Vampire Diaries, however, I'm starting to notice things are getting a bit repetitive. Seriously, how many times can Caroline get captured and tortured? In addition, this isn't the first time Damon has been captured and tortured either. I think we're pretty much past the point of realism thus that gives the writers a perfect opportunity to step outside the box. While I do enjoy the constant twists, it's getting difficult to assume that when people are killed that they're really dead. What do you guys think?
You can catch The Vampire Diaries Thursdays on The CW!

| Review: The Vampire Diaries Episode 5 - The Reckoning

So last night's episode of The Vampire Diaries was crazy, wasn't it? I mean it's undoubtedly one of the best episodes I've seen since the show debuted a couple of years back. Last night's episode marked the fifth episode of the third season which was entitled The Reckoning and I knew we were all in for a suspensful treat after Klaus discovered, during last week's episode, that Elena (the Doppleganger) was still alive.
In The Reckoning, Caroline is determined to see that Elena, Bonnie, Tyler and Matt all enjoy a traditional senior Prank Night before the school year begins at Mystic Falls High School. However, when uninvited guests show up, it doesn't take long for the evening to take a deadly turn. Damon convinces Jeremy that he can use his new connection to the other side to help find a way to defeat Klaus. Finally, Klaus deepens his hold on Stefan and uses him for increasingly violent and dangerous purposes.
Read on to check out my review for The Reckoning and be sure to chime in with your own thoughts!

| The CW Gives The Secret Circle a Full Season

Yeah, I was just as surprised as you guys (sarcasm). The CW has decided to give their new series The Secret Circle a full season. The show, which is based on a book series of the same name by author L.J. Smith, had a great premiere and has apparently held up strong since, according to reports.
Kevin Williamson is the man responsible for bringing The Secret Circle to television. Aside from writing the smash-hit Scream, you may also recognize the name as the guy behind The Vampire Diaries which is also a CW series and currently their most successful show. With The Secret Circle airing Thursday nights immediately after The Vampire Diaries, it was destined to be a hit from the start.
The Secret Circle follows Cassie, who moves from California to live with her grandmother in New Salem and falls in love with a mysterious boy named Adam. But, when she enrolls in high school there, she realizes that he, she and all the other elite students at the school are witches.

According to a recent report from Zap2it, a new actress has been cast on the CW's hit series The Vampire Diaries. Alice Evans has been brought on the series to portray Klaus' mother, Esther. Evans will appear in multiple episodes and in addition to Klaus, she is also the mother of Elijah and Rebekah. Esther will show up in episode 8. Of course, she isn't the only original coming to the scene. As we reported close to a month ago, several originals will make appearances through the third season.
At the moment, Stefan is still under Klaus' control though he's working on a plan to destroying the hybrid once and for all. He believes Klaus is on the run from a famous vampire hunter. At the same time, Damon is convinced that Jeremy can use his connection with the supernatural world to find Klaus' weakness.
The third season has been a thrill-ride since it premiered last month. Here's to hoping the writers can keep things interesting. With the arrival of some never-before-seen originals, I'd say they're on track to yet another successful season. Stay tuned! |

| The Simpsons On the Brink of Cancellation

We just reported that Showtime's hit series Dexter is facing possible cancellation due to a salary disagreement between the network and the show's main star, Michael C. Hall. Now, it appears one of the longest running television shows in history, The Simpsons, could possibly be axed as well.
The six primary voice actors for Fox's hit series - Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer - are refusing to take an enormous 45% pay cut. The network has stated that if the actors don't take the decrease in pay, the show will be cancelled after its record-breaking 23rd year. Fox recently released the following statement:
"23 seasons in, The Simpsons is as creatively vibrant as ever and beloved by millions around the world. We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model. We are hopefuly that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come." Read on for more! |

| Dexter Faces Possible Cancellation

There is currently a lot of talk going on over at Showtime regarding the possible cancellation of one of their most popular original series in history, Dexter. Michael C. Hall, the show's main star, is negotiating a new contract with the network since his current contract is up after this season which premiered Sunday night with a record 2.2 million viewers tuning in. That's a 24% increase over the Season 5 premiere.
According to reports, Showtime is offering Hall $20 million for two more seasons of Dexter, however, the actor is asking for $24 million for two seasons. Negotiations are still in the works but it doesn't appear that Showtime or Michael C. hall are going to give in very easily.
If you ask me, Michael C. Hall deserves a lot more than $24 million after everything he's been through. He already did six successful seasons under the same contract. Not to mention, there aren't too many actor out there who could portray a likeable serial killer and Hall not only does just that, but he makes it look easy. In addition, Showtime makes far more than $24 million from network subscribers to DVD sales. So yeah, I don't think he's asking for that much. What do you guys think? |

| Review: Two and a Half Men Season 9, Episode 3

A good sitcom is hard to come by these days. Perhaps that's the reason Two and a Half Men has experienced such success. While the jokes can get a bit predictable at times..well, most of the time, it's not a bad way to kill half an hour. This season has received quite a bit of mixed reviews. With Charlie Sheen out of the picture, viewers are still trying to decide if they like Ashton Kutcher. I've never watched Two and a Half Men on a weekly basis. I probably saw an episode a season at the most up until this season. Now, however, I'm hooked. I'm beginning to think Ashton Kutcher was destined to star on this show. Right now, his character, Walden, is like an 8-year-old child trapped in a 35-year-old's body. I'm not sure what the writers have in store for Walden as far as character development but I'm crossing my fingers they don't move too fast for his childish tendencies are still more than welcome on my television set.
Two and a Half Men is now in its ninth season and last night, CBS aired the third episode entitled Big Girls Don't Throw Food. Perhaps I was feeling like a kid myself or someone stuck laughing gas in my ventilation system but either way, I laughed throughout the entire episode. It wasn't just small chuckles under my breath either. I was laughing uncontrollably and to the point that I actually started choking on one occasion. It was during a scene involving Walden (Kutcher) and his ex-wife Bridget (Judy Greer). They were at a low-end, all-you-can-eat soup and salad restraunt. At one point, Walden is trying to convince Bridget that he can change his immature ways while at the same time he's having a food fight with a six-year-old girl sitting behind him. it was hysterical. |

| Kristin & Mark Eliminated On Dancing With the Stars

I don't watch Dancing With the Stars regularly. I tune in maybe three or four times each season just to see who the competitors are each year, who is left toward the middle of the season and of course, who the winners are each year. Last night, I found myself a bit bored thus I tuned in and it didn't take me long to remember why I wasn't a fan of the show.
As always, viewers were treated to a recap of the performances from the previous night. Chaz Bono was absolutely terrible. I remember seeing a video of his first performance on YouTube and he was atrocious there. Since I don't watch the show regularly, I can't be too harsh but from what I've seen of this season, he hasn't made any improvements. Somehow or another, he wasn't only safe this week, but he didn't even land in the bottom three.
Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas weren't so lucky. The two along with pairs Anna and Carson and Hope and Maksim were all in the bottom three this week. In the end, Kristen and Mark were the two sent packing. Thankfully, I won't have to tune in to the show until the finale which is quite a ways away. What did you guys think of last night's episode? |
|
Last Thursday marked the premiere of the third season of The CW's hit series The Vampire Diaries. Thankfully, I had the show set to record on my DVR from last season because I missed it and I didn't see a single rerun all week long. Unfortunately, The Secret Circle was a premiere I've been waiting to see for quite some time and that one I did not have set to record. Hopefully, they do a nice recap on tonight's episode to fill me in as I plan to watch the rest of the season religously.
I don't know how they do it, but the writers for The Vampire Diaries are constantly twisting things up on the show. There are times where some events feel rather familiar but I have yet to lose interest. For instance, how many times can poor Caroline get captured and tortured? And as if the folks in Mystic Falls didn't have enough to deal with, Katherine is going to return to town at some point, according to reports.
I haven't been a huge fan of Katherine's character, however, I did enjoy her presence more toward the end of season two. It was kind of fun seeing her and the Salvatore brothers working together. This time, however, it doesn't look like she'll be as helpful. In fact, it looks like she'll only be returning to Mystic Falls to stir up more trouble. Kevin Williamson wouldn't say much but he did confirm that Katherine would be back later on this season. We'll keep you posted! |

| Steve-O Injured During Charlie Sheen Roast

If you missed the Roast of Charlie Sheen last night on Comedy Central, it is something you'll definitely want to check out as soon as the network runs it again. I have not laughed so hard in a very long time. In fact, it was probably the best Roast I've seen so far. My favorite line had to have been when Charlie Sheen took a stab at William Shatner saying that the only reason he invited him was because he wanted his clean urine, even if he had to squeeze it out of his diaper. How great is that?
In any case, Steve-O was amongst the group of 'roasters.' Of course, he can't seem to attend any event without causing pain to himself. With Mike Tyson on the stage as well, Steve-O thought it'd be a great idea to attempt to get a black eye from the first of Mike Tyson. I, like most viewers, thought he was going to let Mike take a swing at him. Instead, Mike Tyson stood at one end of the stage with his fist out and Steve-O ran full force and dived into it. His first attempt didn't seem to do much damage. At the end of the show, however, he made another attempt which led to a possible broken nose. Even Seth MacFarlane tried to call a medic.
Long story short, I'm sure Steve-O made his Jackass team extremely proud. You can check out clips from the Roast of Charlie Sheen over at Comedy Central. Again, if you missed it, the network will undoubtedly show it again sometime soon. It's definitely worth checking out! |

| Who Won Big Brother 13 Tonight?

It has been one crazy season for Big Brother. In fact, Big Brother 13 may very well be the most entertaining and twist-filled season I've ever watched. Grant it, I've only seen about six seasons in total but I feel that's enough to get an idea of the general gameplay, what are good moves, what are bad moves, etc. The most interesting aspect of this particular season was undoubtedly the duo twist. I loved that couples Jeff and Jordan and Brendon and Rachel were back in the house to keep for the $500,000 grand prize. I have to be honest, however, it didn't take me long to get irritated with the latter couple. Those two have some big mouths on them and I mean that in two ways. They were constantly smooching directly under cameras and they were always running their mouths to people. Nevertheless, after Brendon and Jeff were evicted from the house, Rachel became an entirely different person over night. She was nice, she was willing to listen to the other houseguests and she was causing little to know drama.
Rachel won the final HOH which was a three part competition. She won the first part, Porsche won the second against Adam and Rachel beat Porsche in the final part. As much as people hate Rachel, she was in incredible competitor this season. She was nominated too many times to remember and she some how dodged eviction ever time. As much as I would have loved to see Jeff and Jordan sitting in the final two (as I'm sure a lot of viewers would have), I knew that would never happen. Everyone was looking to split them up from the get-go.
So, who won Big Brother 13? You guessed it (or maybe you didn't)! Rachel Reilly! She and Brendon (since they're engaged) walked away with the $500,000 grand prize. Unfortunately, that's the last of Big Brother we're going to see until next summer. I certainly enjoyed this season and I would love to hear your thoughts. Who was your favorite player/players? Who did you enjoy watching get evicted? Let us know inside! |

| 'Big Brother': Jordan Thinks Rachel Deserves to Win

You know, three weeks ago I remember saying to myself that if Jeff and Jordan are both evicted from the Big Brother house, I would be finished watching the show for the season. Last week, however, 24-year-old Jordan Lloyd was evicted from the house yet I'm still watching. Why? Because Rachel has made an unbelievable transformation from a sassy and emotional, drama-queen to a fierce competitor who may actually have a heart after all. Perhaps she's learned a thing or two from Jordan? Or maybe she just got tired of being hated by America? Whatever the case, we've been seeing a brand new Rachel Reilly these last few weeks and I'm sure I'll regret saying this later on, but I wouldn't mind seeing Rachel back for another season somewhere down the road. Big Brother All-Stars, anyone?
It's down to the final three in the Big Brother house and Rachel looks to be closer than ever to winning the $500,000 grand prize. What's more? Jordan, Rachel's closest ally throughout the entire season, feels she deserves to win and I'd have to agree. When both girls' backs were against the wall, Rachel worked her ass off to ensure the pairs' safety. Of course, Rachel has had a huge target on her back since day one and has been nominated multiple times for eviction, but as former houseguest Regan stated a few weeks back, don't count Rachel out just yet. Still, the competition isn't over yet, however, only Adam and Porsche stand in Rachel's way of winning the $500,000. Adam has been arguably the biggest floater in Big Brother history with Porsche not far behind him. I'd sure hate to see either of them win half a million bucks after not doing anything almost the entire summer.
The winner of Big Brother 13 will be revealed this Thursday live on CBS. The winner of the 3-part Head of Household competition will choose which houseguest she wants to take to the final two with her. I say her because Adam has been eliminated. Rachel won the first part of the HOH competition while Porsche walked away the winner of the second part. The final two will have to plead their cases multiple times to the jury consisting of Jeff, Danielle, Brendon, Shelly, Jordan and Kalia as to why they are deserving of the $500,000. Honestly, if Rachel makes it to the final two, she'll already have won the prize. She already has Jordan, Brendon and Jeff's votes and I feel Danielle will vote for the best competitor over an alliance member who did absolutely nothing up until the the last few weeks in the house. Stay tuned! |
|
So much for Jeff and Jordan making it to the final two! Last night, Jordan was evicted out of the Big Brother house. The good news is, she'll get to join her boyfriend, Jeff, in the jury house. I'm sure if Jordan knew she'd be getting evicted before the final two, she'd have chose to go to the jury house a lot sooner.
As much as I love Jordan, she really hasn't done anything useful the entire game. In fact, just like in Big Brother 11, Jordan only remained in the house as long as she did because of her sweet personality and Jeff keeping her safe. Meanwhile, Rachel has shocked everyone over these last few weeks. She has had an enormous target on her back the entire season and has been nominated for eviction multiple times. Somehow, however, she's managed to dodge eviction and she now stands in the final three along with Porsche and Adam.
With Jordan out of the house, I personally hope Rachel makes it to the final two. Whether she's up against Porsche or Adam, I doubt she'll have any trouble getting votes from the jury due to the fact that she is a competitior and she's fought like crazy to remain in the house while both Porsche and Adam have true definitions of the term 'floater' until recently. In addition, Rachel has one the first part of the three part HOH. You can tune in next week for the live finale to find out who will when Big Brother 13! |
|
Last night, we finally got to see the result of the HOH competition that started after the eviction Thursday night. While Adam and Rachel were neck and neck throughout most of the ?competition, Rachel ended up pulling off yet another win when it counts the most.?
Porsche, Adam and Kalia spent a lot of time in the HOH room, trying to negotiate final four and even final three deals with Rachel and Jordan. As much as I don't like Kalia, I think she would stand by her word and wouldn't nominate either of the veterans unless she absolutely had to. Porsche, on the other hand, will say anything to stay in the Big Brother house. Fortunately, Jordan and Rachel have been stabbed in the back plenty of times this season and I think they've finally learned that they can only trust each other this far in the game.
By the time all was said and done, Kalia and Porsche found themselves on the chopping block. The POV competition is right around the corner, however, and that will give either of them a chance to pull themselves off the block. Of course, if Adam, Jordan or Rachel wins, that just secures Rachel's nominations. Stay tuned! |
|
Man, the Big Brother updates just keep coming and coming. Just when we thought Jordan and Rachel were finished in the Big Brother house, a small twist has given them a big chance at going further in the game.
As previously reported, Porsche opened Pandora's Box and she received $5,000 for doing so, however, she also brought back the duos twist. Rachel and Jordan, Porsche and Kalia and Shelly and Adam were paired up. In addition, the winners of the POV competition would be able to remove two people from the chopping block instead of just one. Believe it or not, Rachel won which granted she and Jordan safety this week. So with the veterans off the chopping block, Porsche was forced to replace them with Adam and Shelly. At the moment, it looks like the latter will be sent packing her bags. Serves her right for stabbing Jeff and Jordan in the back for no good reason but to further herself in the game. I mean, I understand that's part of Big Brother but Jeff and Jordan befriended Shelly when she had nobody. They did everything to keep her safe and she screwed them royally.
Tune in Thursday to watch Shelly's emotional eviction. It's going to be great! |
|
As I recently reported and can now confirm, Pandora's Box has returned to the Big Brother house. Porsche, the reigning Head of Household, decided to open it hoping for something big. Although she did get $5,000, she also brought back the duos twist. In addition, whoever wins the next Power of Veto can take two people off the chopping block rather than just one. So, if Jordan or Rachel wins POV, they both come off the block. It's a sneaky way for CBS to keep the two veterans in the game.
Porsche is obviously regretful about opening Pandora's Box. If Jordan or Rachel wins POV, that would mean she has to put up a member of her own alliance. I know for a fact she won't nominate Kalia thus that leaves Shelly and Adam. Hopefully, if Jordan or Rachel wins POV, they vote to evict Shelly. By doing that, it would give the two veterans a better chance of making it to the end. Adam still isn't sure which side he's on thus there's a big possibility Jordan and Rachel can flip him. As always, we'll keep you posted! |
|
I really don't see the point in CBS airing episodes of Big Brother on Sunday, Wendesday and Thursday as you can find out everything that happens almost a week before it's shown on CBS via the world wide web. In fact, that's why I have a subscription to the uncensored, 24/7 live feeds as well as Showtime, so I can bring you guys the latest updates before most any other website.
The Head of Household competition airs tonight but for those of you who just can't wait, Porsche came out the winner. As you might have guessed, she nominated Jordan and Rachel for eviction with the latter being the target. According to various reports, those nominations may not stick. There's word the Pandora's Box will be coming this week and as always, it could mean something great for the person who opens it, something bad or both.
As of of now, Jordan and Rachel both face the possibility of eviction but that could all change. We'll keep you posted! |
|
I'm still in utter shock after last night's episode of Big Brother. I'm sure you remember all my ranting in raving since the beginning of this particular season about how Big Brother is extremely rigged. Well, I'm not so sure that's the case anymore. I mean, I originally thought CBS would do anything they could to keep Jeff and Jordan in the house because America loves them. They're a cute couple, they're honest and they're smart players. In fact, when Jeff won Power of Veto and replaced Porsche with Danielle on the eviction block, I thought for sure he and Jordan would breeze to the final two. Boy, was I ever wrong.
Last night was a double eviction night meaning two houseguests would be eliminated from the game. With Kalia and Danielle up on the chopping block, it wasn't too hard to figure out that Danielle would be sent packing her bags. Immediately after she was evicted, another Head of Household competition took place and yes, the annoying Kalia won it. She had to immediately name two nominees for eviction and since she's still Danielle's lap dog even though Danielle was eliminated from the game, she put up Jeff and Rachel. Adam and Jordan voted to keep Jeff while the other houseguests voted to evict him. So sadly, Jeff was sent packing. I have a special story coming up regarding Shelly. I don't want to give away too many details but stay tuned for that!
At the moment, six contestants remain in the Big Brother house and I can tell you now that if Jordan is evicted, whether she's the next to go or if she makes the final three, I will be finished watching this season. I simply don't care about the other houseguests. None of them can make their own decisions, Shelly's an old bitch who looks like a dike, Adam is the true definition of a floater (though I like him more since he voted to keep Jeff in), Porsche and Kalia are two of the most annoying houseguests to play the game and though I don't care much for Rachel, at least she has the balls to make some bold moves. We'll keep you posted! |
