I saw the movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and I have to say that it is one of the best family movies I have ever seen. It was funny, witty, true to heart, and would remind anyone, without a labotomy, what it was really like in Jr. High School.

I think Roger Ebert was "dead on" in his review of the movie. This movie was very entertaining and I would be hard pressed why anyone would find the need (other than some distorted ego problem) to negatively blast this movie. There would be no reason as the movie is paced well, has enough energy/action to keep your attention, and you leave the theater feeling great. The cast was very good. The kid who played Greg Heffley was excellent and very believable. The theater I saw this in had a mixed combination of kids and adults and I would say that, even though all the kids were laughing through the movie, the adults in the audience were enjoying themselves even more.

I think Ty Burr, from the Boston Globe is so far off in what you call a review of this movie, that it is hard to believe he saw the same movie the rest of us did. Perhaps he must have some left over psychological wimp issues or maybe worse, the movie brought out his bad experiences of him being bullied when he was younger, so therefore he is going to get back at those bullies by just being negative about this movie. To myself and the other 8 people who went to the theater with me to see The "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" movie, there was nothing bad or negative about this movie and to deliberately "diss" this movie just to try and be clever as a reviwer, is a breach of the trust and objectivity expected from a reviewer by his audience. To me Ty Burr is the worst kind of reviewer, using his power to be "negative" just for the sake of being "negative". He didn't find one thing good about this movie, now don't you think that is a bit off, considering the more highly respected and more regarded reviewers rated the movie highly and this jerk didn't. Ty I think you should look for another job as your review is an abuse and a disgrace to your paper.

Anyone of any age should go out and see the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie", you will not be dissapointed and will enjoy the entertainment value of this movie without having to pay extra for 3D. The movie is thoroughly entertaining and fun....
