'Avatar' tops box office with $30 million. Surprise, surprise. James Cameron's juggernaut continued it's box office domination for the seventh week in a row earning an estimated $30 million. The film has already taken the title for the highest grossing motion picture of all time and doesn't seem to be showing any sign of slowing down. As a matter of fact, it's just a few days away from taking the title for the highest grossing picture at the domestic box office as well.
In second place was the Mel Gibson thriller "Edge of Darkness" which took in a considerable $17.1 million. The other new movie that opened this week was "When in Rome" which pulled in a lousy $12 million which was quite surprising considering stars included Kristen Bell ("Veronica Mars") and Josh Duhamel ("Las Vegas").
Do you think "Avatar" will hold the number one spot this coming weekend?
