'Edge of Darkness' is conflicted but entertaining. The new thriller "Edge of Darkness" arrived in theaters yesterday from Warner Bros. and top film critics gave the film suprisingly positive reviews. The film stars Mel Gibson, who we haven't seen in a mainstream motion picture for quite some time. Also starring are Ray Winstone, Danny Huston, Shawn Roberts and Frank Grillo.
Sam Allis from The Boston Globe gave "Edge of Darkness" a 'B-'. He said, "Gibson returns to the screen stripped of his glamour. It's a smart way to go." In agreement was Roger Ebert who also gave the film a 'B-' saying, "(Mel Gibson) remains a likable man with a natural screen presence."
Meanwhile, Michael Phillips over at The Chicago Tribune gave the film a 'B'. He said, "conflicted but entertaining." Do you guys agree with the critics? Let us know!
