This is something I've been dreading ever since remakes became an industry trend. I knew it was only a matter of time before studios got far enough down the line to Alex Proyas' brilliant gothic-superhero picture "The Crow". The director once said himself, when asked about his thoughts on a remake, that he'd prefer the film be left with the memory of actor Brandon Lee who died during the film's production and I totally agree. Not to mention, there's no way any director on the planet could develop such a visually mesmorizing as the 1994 cult-classic. Read on to see what Stephen Norrington at Relativity Media had to say regarding the progress of the remake.
Norrington is saying that his new script is doing well as it makes the studio rounds and will be, ”realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style.”
The only way I'll see a remake to "The Crow" is if I'm draggged into the theater unwillingly or if Taylor Kitsch takes on the role of Eric Draven. Even if that were the case, I'm still not sure I'd be all for seeing a remake to "The Crow" which is an absolute one of a kind feature.
