When does 'Jersey Shore' season 2 premiere? Since we're on the topic of "Jersey Shore", the mayor of Sea Isle City, New Jersey issued a press release Thursday to crush rumors that MTV's hit reality series would be taking place in his city.

Sea Isle City had been rumored to be the new setting for the mid-season reality show, but there's no truth to those rumors whatsoever, say city officials. Mayor Leonard C. Desiderio released this statement: “To date, there has been no contact made to City officials regarding this possibility,” the release states. “We have not been contacted about the show ‘Jersey Shore’ filming in Sea Isle. This is an unsubstantiated rumor and in fact, we understand the show is returning to Seaside Heights for the next season. My staff and I are in communication with MTV to clear up this matter and ensure the media is provided with accurate information.”

Oh well. Considering it was indeed a huge success for MTV, I'm sure they'll find some New Jersey location to shoot a second season.
