Did Justin Bieber lip sync at VMAs? Okay, so there's been a lot of speculation as to whether Justin Bieber was lip syncing at the 2010 Video Music Awards. When I first read that there was a possibility Bieber was lip syncing to a pre-recording, I thought, "There's no way!" Love him or hate him, Bieber is one of the most popular and certainly most successful artists in the industry today. It just doesn't seem possible that he would risk his current status lip syncing at perhaps the biggest music awards show of the year. So upon the speculation, I decided to investigate the matter.
I took to YouTube and spent about an hour watching various live performances of Bieber's, all recent, and compared them to his performance at the 2010 Video Music Awards. As a result, I'm forced to ask, "Did Justin Bieber lip sync at the 2010 Video Music Awards?"
Justin has long since began the puperty cycle and with it, his voice has started to crack. Long story short, he just doesn't sound like he did when he first rose to stardom. His voice is much lower now and after watching some of his recent live performances, it's obvious Bieber was struggling to hit some of the high notes. In conclusion, while his voice cracked throughout nearly all of his recent live peformances, his voice during his performance at the 2010 Video Music Awards sounded impossibly identical to the album version of his hit track "Baby."
Inside, we've posted two videos. One, of course, is Justin Bieber's performance at the 2010 Video Music Awards and the other is another recent live performance from the artist. Read on and judge for yourself.
