 Pop/country sensation, Taylor Swift, has been named Billboard's Woman of the Year. The 21-year-old musician is now the youngest recipient to receive the award which will be presented at Billboard's 2011 Women in Music event December 2nd in New York.
The award, which has been received by both Lady Gaga and Beyonce, salutes a female artist who has experienced huge sales in a particular year as well as creative breakthroughs.
I guess that means congratulations are in order for Miss Taylor Swift. Though I'm not really a fan of her music, she's clearly a hard working individual and undoubtedly deserving of the award in my eyes. What do you guys think? |

 One of my favorite performances last night at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards was undoubtedly Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Nayer who performed one of the biggest hits of the year, Give Me Everything Tonight. Not only do I like the song, but the trio sounded dead on with the album version of the single. There was a brief slip-up toward the beginning of the song but Ne-Yo and Pitbull corrected it right away.
I never realized how small Nayer's part in the song actually is until watching this performance. Hearing the artists peform Give Me Everything Tonight live made it seem as though Nayer would start singing and Ne-Yo would cut her off. It wasn't a mistake or anything but just the way Nayer would stop singing abruptly as soon as Ne-Yo came in and her facial expression when she did so.

I think most of us are past the incident involving Chris Brown assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Now, it makes it a lot easier to just sit back and enjoy this guy perform. Last night, the With You hit-maker lit up the stage at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, dancing to some of the top songs in various years. My favorite had to be his routine for Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. I guess I just appreciate the respect most artists have for one another. It doesn't matter what genre an artist or band might fall under, if they're good, most artists respect them.
Of course, Chris Brown had to throw a couple of his own tracks into the mix. He started off his dance routine/performance with one of his more recent hits ?Yeah3X? and topped it off with Beautiful People.? He definitely had the crowd going crazy.

 Remember that hard-rock band A Perfect Circle? Yeah, that band that made hits like Three Libas and Weak and Powerless. The group recently announced a reunion tour and there was some speculation that the reunion meant a new album. For once, the speculation was correct.
Unfortunately, a new album won't be available any time soon. "We're going to have at least one new song on the tour," guitarist Billy Howerdell told Antimusic. "It's very close to being done, and from there, things should come together. Once we're on the road and start hashing out ideas, they could quickly become a song and make it onto the stage. So there's an album in the works, but not for this summer. The idea was to get the juices flowing a bit and get back into A Perfect Circle mode, and go from there. But we do intend to record new material."
The band announced earlier this year that they'd end their long hiatus to head on tour this summer to play some renunion dates. So there you have it! One of the more memorable rock bands of the early 2000's are planning to make a comeback. Yay! |

 You really have to wonder when Lady Gaga is going to lose her momentum. I mean, most musicians have one huge hit and a few small hit singles here and there. There's obviously a reason she's been dubbed the new queen of pop. Gaga has had huge hit after huge hit since 2009 and she doesn't show any signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The pop star is set to perform on NBC's Saturday Night Live on May 21st. The performance will take place just in time for her new album entitled Born This Way which hits reailer shelves May 23rd. The first single off the album is titled Born This Way and it has been in the top ten on the Billboards for several weeks. Her latest single is called Judas and it's been posted all over the web for Gaga fans to listen to.
Gaga's last appearance on Saturday Night Live was back in 2009. She'll be joining frequent SNL host Justin Timberlake and this will be his first time back on the show since 2009 as well. So definitely mark your calendars. It should be a fun night!

| Justin Bieber is REALLY Bald, Watch Video! I saw the clip of Justin Bieber getting his head shaved on Jimmy Kimmel a couple of days ago, however, I thought it was a prank. I thought for sure the pop sensation was wearing a bald cap. I guess I was wrong. P. Diddy was a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel" alongside Bieber and when he agreed to let Kimmel shave his head, P. Diddy warned the "Baby" hit-maker that it was a bad idea. His fans in the audience were obviously against it. After all, Justin's hair is practically his trademark. If you read on, you can check out the video of the dreadful shaving. In my opinion, I think Justin looks absolutely horrible. He resembles something that crash landed from another planet. He recently stated, "People will focus on my beautiful, silky-smooth vocals. I think the girls will be upset, but they will get over it." I sure hope that's true. |

| Jimmy Buffet falls off stage, watch video. Yesteday, the web was flooded with the news of Jimmy Buffett's accident where he reportedly fell off stage and found himself in an Australian hospital. Today, a video was released of the incident. After the fall, the 64-year-old artist lay unconscious for 10 minutes on the floor as paramedics attended to him. He was quickly rushed to the hospital where a CAT scan revealed no immediate damage. Buffett spent the night in the hospital but was released the morning after. He's reportedly postponed his upcoming concert in New Zealand to recuperate. He doesn't have another gig scheduled until April which means he will have plenty of time to recover. Jimmy's rep have assured his fans that the artist is doing just fine. You can find the video of the fall inside. It looks extremely painful. Poor guy! |

| Justin Bieber's nail polish causes chaos. I'm not a fan of Justin Bieber's, however, I do give him credit for his outstanding success. How many guys can put their name on a bottle of nail polish and have it sell out...in every Wal-Mart across the nation?! You heard me right. The Bieb's "One Less Lonely Girl" OPI nail polish line sold out at the 3,000 Wal-Mart stores where the collection was available for purchase. Talk about a nice payday! A rep for Wal-Mart said: "The call center in Bentonville was flooded and flooded with calls with people wanting to know where they could get the nail polish. We just couldn’t keep up." Whether you like Justin Bieber or not, you have to respect what he's doing. The 16-year-old is at the prime of his career. My hats off to anyone who can put their name on a product and have it sell out in stores. What do you guys think? |

| Chris Brown responds to threatening video with funny clip. A few days back, Chris Brown got into a heated argument on Twitter with former B2K singer Raz B. At first, it seemed like innocent beefing between the two, but then Raz B's brother Ricky Romance took it way too far when he posted a video on YouTube warning Chris not to step foot in Los Angeles or else he'd put a pistol in the hit-makers mouth. As we would later find out, Ricky Romance may have a reality show in the works and the threat was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Chris Brown obviously wasn't the least bit frightened as he's posted a video of his own spoofing Ricky Romance. It's absolutely hilarious. | Chris Brown's life threatening Twitter feud. Chris Brown just can't seem to stay out of trouble. I'm not going to get into the dispute between him and Rihanna. That particular incident is done and over with, however, Mr. Brown is obviously not the good guy everyone used to look up to. Recently, Ricky Romance, the brother of former B2K member Raz B, threatened to shoot Chris Brown if he ever caught him alone in Los Angeles. What's sad about all this? This violent statement was made after a Twitter feud between Brown and Raz B. Ricky posted a video (inside) in which he threatens to put a pistol in Chris Brown's mouth. This came after a heated exchange of words (or should we say Twitter posts) between Raz B and Chris Brown, however, things really got serious when Raz B made a comment about Chris' attack on Rihanna. | Jamie Foxx new album debuts at number six. Taylor Swift rose as the champion on the album charts during the week of Christmas with "Speak Now." He album sold more than 276,000 copies. In second was Susan Boyle's "The Gift" which reportedly sold more than 240,000 copies. Jamie Fox had the highest debut on the chart with "Best Night of My Life." His latest album entered the chart at number six with an estimated 144,000 copies sold. This is Foxx's third album and all three have debuted in the top 10 on the US album chart. His first album "Unpredictable" debuted at number two back in 2005 while his follow-up "Intuition" debuted at number three in 2008. Nice work Jamie. Now if only your movies could perform as well at the box office. Either way, we love our multi-talented celebrities.

| Awesome new music, listen now! You know, I don't do this often, but I was browsing independent artists on Myspace Music and I came across a hip-hop artist by the name of Phoenix. As usual, the first song on the list started playing automatically and my ears absorbed the beautiful melody. The song is called "Down For Me" and it is tremendous. I hear so much crap on the radio these days and I guess it was nice to hear something that actually sounded decent. You can check out "Down For Me" here as well as a few other songs by Phoenix. | Welcome home Lil Wayne! It seems like it's been forever since we first heard Lil Wayne was headed to jail, doesn't it? He served 8 months of his 1-year sentence after getting locked up in March. The artist was jailed after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon last year after his tour bus was stopped and a gun was foud in 2007. According to reports, renowned event planner Colin Cowie is organizing a royal-themed homecoming for Weezy, set for Sunday in Miami, Florida. Hundreds of guests are expected to appear including Cash Money Records CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams, Drake, Kevin Rudolf and Jay Sean. Okay Lil Wayne, don't be like T.I. and do something stupid to land yourself behind bars again. You're at an extremely high point in your career and we know you have potential to rise even higher. Anyway, that's my two cents. What do you guys think? Are you glad to see Weezy back in the real world? |

| Kayne West slams Taylor Swift again! I live by the saying 'Once a douche-bag always a douche-bag' and Kanye West is and always will be a douche-bag. Just when everyone was willing to forget about his stupidity at last years Video Music Awards where he charged on stage and snatched the microphone out of Taylor Swift's hand declaring that Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time for "Single Ladies" and basically stating that Taylor didn't deserve the award, Kanye has to go on running his mouth again. This time, he slammed this year's Grammy nominations for Album of the Year asking, "Where's our instant replay clock? Why are the last four Albums of the Year: Taylor Swift, Dixie Chicks, Ray Charles and Herbie Hancock? Like, you know, with all due respect...that's inaccurate." I've never liked Kanye West. I think he's as fake as a can of spray cheese. He's supposedly this huge religious person yet he's always cursing in his music and talking about doing the nasty. I hope Kanye is reading this and I stand by my words that he's an utter douche-bag. Have you noticed he's been bashing females lately? Is he that weak? Your music isn't even that good, Kanye. There's a reason you're not winning awards and it's not because you were robbed. It's merely because you're not that great of a musician. |

| Justin Bieber assaults a kid? Police in Richmond, British Columbia are investigating claims that a 12-year-old boy was hit by pop sensation Justin Bieber last Friday during a game of Laser Tag. Weird considering I was just asking myself what ever happened to the game that used to be so popular (apparently it still is in some places). The owner of Planet Lazer said in a statement that Bieber was indeed tossed out of the building after a boy complained to the staff of a physical altercation. Of course, Bieber's camp is claming the accusation is entirely false, but we're long past believing the old 'Justin Bieber would never do something like that' reply. This story is still developing so we'll keep you posted as soon as we learn more. For now, we'd like to know what you guys think. Did Justin Bieber really assault someone? Let us know inside! |

Justin Bieber, 35, lives in Jacksonville, Florida and claims he has been burdened with endless fan mail, calls and visits to his home by obsessed teenage girls believing him to be 'the' Justin Bieber. He was even banned from Facebook for attempting to impersonate a celebrity. When he stated the case to the website's support team, his pleads were left unresponded to. Bieber says he has received anywhere from two to ten fan letters a day and even calls from musicians desperate to work with the real artist. "It's not so bad," he said. "It does not keep me awake at night, but I feel bad for little girls who want to send messages to their hero and it gets to this [points to himself]." |

| Bruno Mars charged with cocaine possession. This just in, Bruno Mars has officially been charged with possession of cocaine. The report comes from TMZ. The singer has been charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance following his cocaine arrest last month in Las Vegas. If convicted, Mars could spend up to four years behind bars and face up to a $5,000 fine.
Mars was arrested at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on September 19 after a bathroom attendant tipped off hotel security that Mars took a "baggie of white powdery substance" into one of the stalls.
Get it together, Bruno! Your career is really taking off and we don't want to see another waste of perfect talent. Being busted with cocaine is something Paris Hilton would do. Let this be a lesson. We're all excited to see you perform on Saturday Night Live!
