It's now all but confirmed that Dreamwork's is aiming for a summer 2014 release of Transformers 4 and according to MTV, the film will be a reboot centering around evolution.The network spoke with producer Lorenzo di Bonadventura at this year's Toy Fair who said, "I think the challenge there is that we are really going to do a reboot and what' that's going to be, we don't even know yet."
He goes on to say, "It's an evolution. There's still continuity that's going on, yet there will be a lot of new cast. Whether there's anyone from the the first cast, we don't even know yet. The trust is it's going to be a whole new story. The characters that would certainly come along are Optimus and Bumblebee, I'm sure." Read on for more!
It's been confirmed that Shia LaBeouf will not be returing for a fourth film. In fact, Jason Statham is in talks to join the franchise as the new lead. In addition, director Michael Bay said he would not be interested in returning to the Transformers series anytime soon but it was later reported that he may be back for a fourth picture after all. It's also been discussed that Steven Speilberg, who's served as a producer for the last three installments, may take Bay's place in the director's chair. That's all speculation at this point.
