Thor 2 Taps Patty Jenkins For Director

ThorMarvel Studios recently announced that Patty Jenkins has been hired as the director for Thor 2, the sequel to the summer blockbuster which is scheduled to hit theaters November 15, 2013.
 
Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston will all be returning for the sequel as well which will be produced by Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige. Thor has grossed around $450 million at the world-wide box-office.
 
Patty Jenkins directed the critically acclaimed indi-feature Monster starring Charlize Theron. The actress went on to win an Academy Award for her performance in the film. In addition, Jenkins has also directed episodes for television shows like Entourage and Arrested Development. Do you think Patty Jenkins has the knack to take on a motion picture as big as Thor 2?
