Terminator Franchise Finds Home at Annapurna Films

TerminatorAnnapurna Films have won the rights to produce Terminator 5 after a rather heated bidding war between Lionsgate. It was reported last month that Arnold Schwarzenegger was attached to reprise his role as the Terminator. In addition, it was also confirmed that Fast Five director Justin Lin would be helming the sequel.
 
Recent rumors have suggested that the Skynet story will come to a close with Terminator 5 and Terminator 6, however, no production date has been set primarily because there's no script. As we reported last week, if production on Terminator 5 doesn't start by 2018, original Terminator director James Cameron will get back the rights to the franchise.
 
At this point, Annapurna Films does not have a distributor but we will definitely keep you posted on any new developments.
