In this case, it's the latter as I wasn't even aware a fourth theatrical installment in the American Pie franchise was being talked about let alone already in the works. Even worse is the fact that actors Jason Biggs, Sean William Scott, Eugene Levy and Alyson Hannigan were already signed on to reprise their roles in the movie. The actor who plays Chris "Oz" Ostreicher in the series, recently finalized his deal to return. Klein's representative confirmed the news, stating the actor is "very excited to reunite with the original cast."
According to reports, original cast members Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Jennifer Coolidge are also in talks to return for American Reunion, which revolves around the original characters returning to Great Falls for their high school reunion. Read on for more!
Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are on board to write and direct the sequel, however, no production date has been set at this time. American Reunion arrives in theaters sometime in 2012.
