The Avengers to Film In New Mexico

The Avengers to film in New Mexico. Marvel Studios has revealed that they plan to film "The Avengers" in New Mexico, making it the state's largest feature film project to date. Pre-production is currently well under way with principal photography scheduled from April 2011 to September.
 
"The Avengers" will take advantage of New Mexico's 25% rebated program aimed at bringing in major film and television productions. Governor Bill Richardson estimates that the incentive has helped bring in over $4 billion and 10,000 direct and indirect film-related jobs since 2002. Those are some pretty big numbers!
 
Albuquerque Studios will host "The Avengers" shoot for most of 2011, according to reports, before commencing in New York and Michigan.
