eclipse'Twilight: Eclipse' analyzed by frame. MTV Hollywood Crush has broken down the trailer for Summit Entertainment's third installment in their popular vampire franchise titled "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" frame-by-frame, discussing all of the highs and lows of the new trailer.

"One of the biggest and most dramatic moments of the trailer comes with the reveal of Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria, and while before we had hoped the makeup team would do a good job transitioning her from her predecessor, Rachelle Lefevre, we’re not very impressed. Bryce’s facial expression looks a bit intimidating, but that awful wig leaves much to be desired. I thought the point of hiring a red head was so they wouldn’t have to do that?"

You can read the rest of the analyzation at the link above. So what do you guys think? Do you agree with MTV? How did you feel about the first trailer for "Twilight Saga: Eclipse"?

Written by Jared Owen    Wednesday, 10 March 2010 00:48    PDF Print E-mail

avatarJames Cameron talks 'Avatar 2' and DVD release. While out and about the Critics Choice Awards, MTV caught up with James Cameron, director of the highest grossing motion picture in history ("Avatar"), where they were able to pry a few answers out of him.

Regarding the film's box-office gross Cameron said, "It's just a matter of time" before "Avatar" overtakes "Titanic" and he seemed pretty confident about it.

The conversation then switched to the "Avatar" DVD and Blu-Ray. Zoe Saldana said a few weeks back that stuff was cut from the 'sex scene' as they wanted to maintain a PG-13 rating. Cameron addressed this and also spoke about the extra footage that will be available on the DVD and Blu-Ray.

Read on to see what director James Cameron had to say! In addition, if you have to run into him out in the world, be sure to congratulate him on having the two highest grossing motion pictures ever!

Five Secrets of 'Twilight: New Moon'
Written by Chad Langen    Tuesday, 09 March 2010 14:09    PDF Print E-mail

newmoonFive secrets of 'Twilight: New Moon'. MTV interviewed "Twilight Saga: New Moon" director Chris Weitz by phone in honor of the film's DVD release on March 20th. In the interview, Chris reveals a five things most fans probably didn't know about the movie. Below is exactly what can be found on MTV.

Going for the Gold: In "Twilight," RPattz and the rest of his vegetarian vampire cohorts have gold-colored eyes as a result of abstaining from consuming human blood. For "New Moon," the vamps' eyes were clearly more golden. Why'd Weitz have his actors switch to brighter contact lenses?

"It's a more noticeable gold," Weitz said. "I thought that in the first film they hadn't popped quite enough and I wanted to have that sense of otherworldliness carry through more."

Which Movie Won Best Picture at Oscars?
Written by Chad Langen    Sunday, 07 March 2010 23:03    PDF Print E-mail

oscarWhich movie won best picture at Oscars? Finally, after four ours (which felt like an eternity), the winner of the most important award at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards has finally been revealed. So, was it "Avatar" like everyone originally predicted? Of course not! The winner of 2010 Academy Award for 'Best Picture' went to "The Hurt Locker". Congratulations to the cast, crew and everybody else who was a part of this brilliant motion picture!

Other nominees in the category of 'Best Picture' included "Avatar", "Up in the Air", "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire", "Up", "The Blind Side", "District 9", "A Serious Man", "An Education" and "Inglorious Basterds".

We knew the 'Best Picture' award would come down to either "Avatar" or "The Hurt Locker" and to be perfectly honest, we were almost positive "Avatar" would win. Guess our psychic abilities aren't as great as we originally thought.

Thanks for hanging around with us this evening! Check back next year for live coverage of the 2011 Academy Awards!
