Kathryn Bigelow wins best director at Oscars! The 82nd Annual Academy Awards is down to the final and most important award of the entire ceremony -- 'Best Picture'! This evening must have been pretty awkward for both Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron. Why? Because the two were once married, but now they're divorced and they've been competing all night long against one another. Both of their film's, Bigelow's "The Hurt Locker" and Cameron's "Avatar" have pretty much hogged the award show, but at the moment, Kathryn is in the lead as she just snagged the Academy Award for 'Best Director'.

Other nominees in the category of 'Best Director' included James Cameron ("Avatar"), Quentin Tarantino ("Inglorious Basterds"), Lee Daniels ("Precious") and Jason Reitman ("Up in the Air").

Congratulations to Kathryn on her winning success! That statute is going to look nice on the shelf next to your dishes! Sorry, that was a bad joke.
