Aside from its unoriginal premise, the show takes far too many aspects from other subjectively similar series thus before the episode is over, you'll think you've already seen it before. In fact, more so than any other show it duplicates its material from, "Warehouse 13" feels more like an "X-Files" spin-off than something fresh and innovative.

Ridiculous concept aside, the acting is acceptable and more or less what we've come to expect from SyFy. Considering this was the pilot episode, there's still quite a bit to be explained. There are a couple creepy moments throughout the episode, but nothing really happens to motivate us to tune in to see more of what the series has to offer.

I try my best not to judge a series on a single episode, but if the writers don't pick up the pace and kick things up a notch, it's my guess that "Warehouse 13" will be shut down.
