A group of interconnected, Baltimore-based twenty- and thirty somethings navigate their various relationships from the shallow end of the dating pool through the deep, murky waters of married life, trying to read the signs of the opposite sex--and hoping to be the exceptions to the "no-exceptions"; rule. Gigi just wants a man who says he'll call--and does--while Alex advises her to stop sitting by the phone. Beth wonders if she should call it off after years of committed singlehood with her boyfriend, Neil, but he doesn't think there's a single thing wrong with their unmarried life. Janine's not sure if she can trust her husband, Ben, who can't quite trust himself around Anna. Anna can't decide between the sexy married guy, or her straightforward, no-sparks standby, Conor, who can't get over the fact that he can't have her. And Mary, who's found an entire network of loving, supportive men, just needs to find one who's straight.

He's Just Not That Into You is quite a long title, too bad this movie also shares the same distinction. This movie was a borefest that can be summed up by one scene in particular. Bradley Cooper (of Hangover fame) and Scarlett Johansson are in a public pool after hours. Scarlett Johansson wants to go skinny-dipping (great plot), but ultimately, the audience ends up disappointed and teased by not seeing any of her um...assets.
That's pretty much what this movie is, a big tease. This movie had everything in place to succeed: a big budget, a plethora of stars, and a decent script to work with. But it just doesn't work...at all. The reason why this movie doesn't work might be because there are too many stars...nope, that's not it. The reason this movie didn't work is because its so uninspired. Which should come as no surprise seeing as how these days actors are basically doing romantic comedies just for the big fat checks they get.
This movie(much like so many of its predecessors) had the potential to be very good, but falls flat on its face. He's Just Not That Into You? well i'm just not into this movie. If you do want to rent(definitely not buy) an average romantic comedy, or if blockbuster has nothing else(yeah right) then i guess i would recommend this, but i'm warning you that you're gonna end up disappointed.
