Bruce Willis...there are a lot of films that come to mind when you think of this actor, am I right? With his latest motion picture, the sci-fi thriller "Surrogates" hitting theaters very soon, the action star will show movie goers once again how easy it is for him to dominate the big screen. Of course, not Willis hasn't been successful in all of his roles, but he's never shown hesitation when it comes to attempting to portray his long list of diverse characters. Inside, we have five films that the actor truley showed off his natural talent. I’m sure it was quite difficult for the actor to impress viewers with his performance as this Frank Miller adaptation is about as star-studded as motion pictures get.  Nevertheless, Willis manages to deliver a compelling performance even portraying such a dark character.

Twelve Monkeys (1995)
Character: James Cole

This was the last film one would ever expect to see an A-list star like Bruce Willis in, but we do and as a viewer, I couldn’t ask for a more brilliant performance from the actor.  The movie itself is rather confusing but Willis’ act is truly engrossing and regardless if you understand what’s going on, this guy owns the spotlight.

Pulp Fiction (1994)
Character: Butch Coolidge

It’s hard not to like “Pulp Fiction” and it’s even harder not to like Bruce Willis.  He’s undoubtedly sarcastic  in the film and his unintentional one-liners are the root of his brilliance here.

The Sixth Sense (1999)
Character: Dr. Malcolm Crowe

This is one of those film’s that make Bruce Willis a good actor.  With such a flawless script, there’s really no room for Willis to fail.  He’s convincing as a psychiatrist, but the film pretty much does everything for him.  Nevertheless, his performance is intriguing and once again showcases the actor at his finest.

Die Hard (1988)
Character: Officer John McClane

This is the first movie I remember seeing Bruce Willis in and since then, I’ve been a ‘die-hard’ fan.  It’s hard to picture any other actor in the role of John McClane and I really don’t believe another soul could have made the character as iconic as Mr. Willis.  He’s absolutely hysterical and his one-liners are still quoted to this day.
